App versus browser: what's the difference
Our native app (Android APK) and progressive web app (iOS / web) both connect to the same account and payment system. The app version offers offline caching, so odds and match schedules load faster on weak connections; it also sends push notifications when Liga 1 or Piala AFF fixtures start, or when a live blackjack table opens. The browser version works on any device without installation and updates automatically. Choose the app if you want speed and notifications; choose the browser if you prefer simplicity or use multiple devices.
Device compatibility
We support Android 7 and above on phones and tablets; iOS 12 and above on iPhones and iPads; and any modern browser (Chrome, Safari, Firefox, Edge) on desktop or mobile. If your device runs an older version, we recommend updating your operating system or using the web app instead. Our app is optimized for screens between 4 and 6.5 inches; larger tablets work but may show extra whitespace.
Troubleshooting common installation issues
Android users may see a warning about "Unknown Sources" when installing the APK; this is normal and can be enabled in Settings → Security. If the APK does not install, check that you have at least 50 MB of free storage and that your device allows installation from unknown sources. iOS users should ensure they have enough iCloud storage and that Safari is up to date. If the web app does not load, clear your browser cache or try a different browser. For persistent issues, contact our support team via the in-app help menu or email.
Data, permissions, and account security
When you install devour, we request permissions for notifications, camera (for KYC photo verification), and storage (for offline caching). We do not access your contacts, calendar, or other personal data. Your account credentials are encrypted in transit and at rest; we use industry-standard TLS and do not store your password in plain text. When you deposit via local payment, online payment, or a bank virtual account, payment data is handled by our payment partners under their own security protocols. Your account is tied to your email and mobile number; if you lose access, use the password-reset link on the login page.
